For Some Reason...
...in times of doubt, we have a tendancy to imagine the worst, when nothing could be further from the truth.
Knowing her as little as I do, it's enough to feel confidently that she's way more concerned for the mental health of the children first ...not having the energy, time or desire to see someone romantically. The differences she & you have, they are immeasurable compared to the importance that the children perceive thier surroundings to be as stable as possible. A scenario otherwise is out of the question, especially understanding that it all falls on you two. I love and respect both of you, this is why, standing on the outside looking in ...I have to give you absolute truth, even though it may not be what you want to hear. I believe there is no one else. There can't be, not right now.
Stay assembled. The children will need you.
In the meantime, stay busy. Be with family and friends. I know, as I'm sure you're experiencing ...nothing can be lonlier than the space that echoes your own thoughts.
